Casein on gessoed paper.
Every once in a blue moon, I do a still life. Even rarer, I do an impressionist still life. This was a quickie casein study (of my breakfast) that I did in 2 hours before my final critique to fulfill a material requirement. My first time working with casein. Loved the material, hated the clean up. It dried almost immediately after it was applied.
To quote my professor, "It's like if Ivan Albright painted pomegranates." Even my fruit is goth.
